Shapeoko 2 Launch Event

The new generation Shapeoko is about to be officially announced

Join designer Edward Ford and Inventables CEO Zach Kaplan for the official release of Shapeoko 2. Edward designed Shapeoko as a low-cost, open-source CNC machine kit with a modest kickstarter goal. Two years and many kits sold later, Edward rolled his new designs and community contributions into a brand new machine that’s easier to use and more powerful than before. We hope you can join us to to see what it’s all about.

Here is the “eShapeoko”, an improvement of the original Shapeoko and distributed in the EU [link] (saves shipping cost). Notice that the main difference with the Shapeoko 2 is the way the z-axis is configured: in the eShapeoko, the entire z-axis move, but in the Shapeoko 2, the z-axis is stationary and the spindle plate moves
