HIGHER Z-AXIS CLEARANCE

The Z-Axis MakerSlide is also static, so the clearance height is fixed. Only the spindle and its mounting plate move.

This provide much easier access to the work area and allows material to hang or extend beyond the working are in the Y direction. It also allows easier access to the spindle for changing bits

DUAL MAKERSLIDE IN X-AXIS

Including two sets of V-wheels. This increases the rigidity of the both the X-axis and Z-axis

NEW Z-AXIS DESIGN

The Z-axis MakerSlide is bolted to the X-axis plate and does not move. The spindle mounts on a separate plate which moves on the Z-axis MakerSlide. This slightly increases vertical motion.

The M8 threaded rod has been replaced to stainless steel (from mild steel) which is stronger and straighter. The top plate design is borrowed from eShapeoko.
